copying Picasso
When hearts are rubbed
too much they become fairly raw
that's all I can figure
after three days of picking
it all apart
and building it back up again
as if copying a Picasso
and though my heart
remained an abstraction
the emotions I'm
fighting are as real as
the hot summer sun on my face
a cool evening breeze
and the chills I get just
thinking of how much I love you
