deep dish
she winged in spinning with the gale
i caught the petals she misplaced
the winter wind was blowing stale
my "hail marys" framed her face
her frantic flight was ill-advised
her flapping staged her in a rift
i shut my soul and closed my eyes
i cried for all the love i've missed
...my words benchmarked under windows, late june evening, fireflies, and years gone by, waysides, under bridges, scented hyacinth breeze, lazy lovemaking, the quenched desire of still, deep flowing waters, cascading saxophones, torment, calm, torment, torment, "split open and melt"
...riviera rooftop
cat-black, low back lover's gown
a deep seductive hiss
a woman blessed with bliss
even in the sin of the burglary business
you'd be lucky to catch one
