There are still things you should now
But I can't let you dote on them

If you'll please disregard them upon reading
I had never felt so strongly for a person before
- I still haven't
Though you may no longer care for me, it is the truth
I fell for you because within you you held a promise
-you would never hurt me
Tough you may have tried not to, you did
There were times when you made choices that crushed me
-but I accepted them
Though you may not know it, acceptance is part of love
You don't think I know as much as you do because I'm younger
-I think in this case I might have
Though you may not think so, but I do
I wasn't very good at opening up to you after a while
-you closed off so I did in response
Though you loved me once, you soon forgot that
You want us to be friends, but we haven't talked in weeks
-you won't call me, I won't call you
Though you said a friendship could work, I'm not so sure
It's hard not to reach out for your hand when we talk
-things are different
Though you want it that way, I don't think I can handle it
