Dreams of Sleep

I waited
  The world was asleep
You were in my bed
   I slept
Tried to at least
  I wanted to be
Like everyone else
  I wanted to sleep
I didn't want this secret
   Anymore
Your hands pushed at my back
  I gave no consent
They slowly made
  Their way
Up my shoulder
Around my neck
Across my cheek
  Residing at my lips
I didn't want you in my bed
  That night
I wanted to sleep
  Just like the rest of the world
That couldn't hear my cries
