Spinning Earth

Take me out for another spin on the universe.
I don't mind it at all, really.

We'll visit Saturn's rings and all the popular resorts on Jupiter's moons,
Spending a couple weeks at the Club Med on Venus to round out our vacation
(for the novelty of it all, of course).

We'll make sure to take plenty of photos standing in our Moon's craters,
(you know, the one near where Neil Armstrong said it was "one small step").
We'll notice how small the Earth looks from such a distant view.

And you'll wrap me up in your Orion's Belt of Love.
Promising to spend the rest of time,
Spinning through this galaxy,
Finding each other again and again.

Just grant me one wish, my love:
That you'll be standing by my side
When our feet finally touch down on terra firma
And the Earth refuses to stop spinning.
