Goodbye

I sit and write my
crazy poetry and
my fucked up stories
about an everlasting love,
all the while wondering
what circle I've chased
myself into this time.
We bought a ticket
for the roller coaster,
but I forgot to get
a lifetime pass,
and the season
seems to be over.
The only thing left
is to say goodbye
when I've already
let you go.
Take the memories
and say we'll be friends
and hopefully
     someday,
you'll think of
me without hate
in your heart.
