Hidden

I try to hide my feelings, 
come though they may. 

I never thought of you like this, 
but really it’s not to terribly bad. 

It only hurts when you are not near, 
But the pain is endurable for  now. 

The time passes by 
and the feeling grows. 

It hurts now worse, 
but I endure still. 

Finally I must tell you 
and let the feelings be shared. 

You love me, 
this I know. 

But it is a different love 
a love that friends share 

Not the love that  I feel inside 
the love that sweethearts share 

One day I hope this will change 
and the loves will be the same 

One day I hope we will be together 
side by side and hand in hand 

Until that day I will wait 
wait and hold this feeling.
