Consuming Paradise

Consuming Paradise

The rose blushed flesh yields to my tentative touch
Anticipation reigns supreme
As my mouth involuntarily starts to salivate
Taste already a ghost against the palate
Slippery, wet, my tongue touches heaven
As the ripe, decadent scent wafts directly into the brain
My senses are overwhelmed with sensation
As the flavor arouses every deep appetite within

God, how I love to eat mangoes in the morning.
