Mr. Sunshine
it is a gloomy day today
grey skies are looming
the flowers have folded up inside themselves
they are mocking me
rain falls
steam rises
the air is still
yet, i smile instead of
shedding anguished tears
'cause i know one day
you will creep over that horizon
pour across the land
and saturate me
with a full bag of sunshine
and that will be just the energy boost i will need
to bloom
