The feeling won't go away
trapped in reality
been so long gone
yet the heart is still tight
like my airway
can't breath
listening to conversations around me
like in a dream
can't speak
can only hear; in a daze
an outcast
Never thought it would stay so strange
thinking it was over
2 years is a long time
but not long enough;
not long enough to forget. to feel normal;
never will
with "them".
Can't look him in the eye;
it hurts
it pulls me back
into a place that won't let me go.
