kissing raindrops off noses

We laugh and we run,
But it's pointless really,
As the sky cracks open above us,
And the sensuous pounding of summer rain,
Beats softly down upon us,
We stop and turn to one another,
A broad grin creeps across your face,
Dimples work their way into the frame of mine,
We look up at the same time,
And let our skin be caressed,
Before turning again to each other,
Kissing the raindrops off each others noses,
Nuzzling,
Eyes sparkle with wet lashes clumping together,
All soft and dark,
Lips seem so glossed by the downpour,
Mouths like a comforting cavern of warmth,
Bodies hungry to share some kind of shelter in proximity,
We are magnetically pulled together,
And locked for a seeming perfect eternity,
In a warm wet and smiling embrace.
