pick up pick up pick up the phone we know you're home answer the door we
see your truck parked outside we hope you're alive there are words to say
roles to play this is the day that the Lord has made so we WILL rejoice and
be glad in it and if you're happy but don't know it take a Paxil and try
to show it you've got so much to be thankful for you're a beautiful girl
an intelligent girl a lucky in love girl get it together so you won't lose
him to someone who has the sanity productivity happy happy joy joy thing
downpat wipe your shoes on the mat and help yourself to some normalcy
come inside and hide the demons stuff em in a box stifle the screams with
scotch tape the ambrosia is poisoned drink some amnesia love frees ya
if you let it but it's only love if you don't regret it forget the past
focus on the presents of the present pretend you're a princess and not a
peasant the world is your kingdom greet it with a gracious smile and throw
your paranoia in a pile walk out and mingle with the subjects speak on cue
and try not to flub it this is not a dress rehearsal you only get one shot
x marks the spot don't fidget stand tall pretend like you don't know how
flimsy the set is.
