the search
three weeks ago
you sent me on a search
for some comfort
in a solitude you knew
you could not make me
understand
but somehow knew it was
waiting for me - somewhere
and so three days ago I set out to
look for America
and for some hope
that I could wrap around us
and taste of a future
that would include
more than a comfortable
complacency
and what I've discovered
is that it's okay to be restless
it's okay to want more
so that I'll never
settle again for giving you
less than my best
