Venus
Oh my dear sweet Venus,
Your absence strikes to the depth of my soul.
What pain does my heart feel waking and not finding your touch?
My mouth is dry for only the water that is near you can satisfy my thirst.
It is dark and I stumble, for you the light of love is not with me.
Yet through all this there is hope.
For I know Venus that you are not gone but waiting,
Waiting for me...
Waiting for that one sweet day where I will again be amazed by your beauty.
And I wait for the next sun to come,
For by every new sun, I come one day nearer to you.
And it gives me strength.
So I am not sad but joyful to know that we will be united again.
Our love is deeper than any abyss and higher than the heavens.
Nothing can keep our love from flourishing for it is God sent.
