frailty

i wanted to strip myself naked
to toss my clothing all over the parking lot
as my rain soaked socks made
each step a harder path to walk

i raised my arms to the sky and let the rain
trace its way down my body
the sudden coldness causing my

i thought of you in the building behind me
reading the words i had just left you
hoping that you were about to feel some

loose the minute my car door slammed

strange how it all comes full circle
that the place where you first made me scream

to become the place i released the tears
caused by you
