Frost Bite
Talk to me.
The silence is like death.
Can you see me?
Can you hear me breathing?
Can you taste me?
Can you feel me under your skin
When you crawl into bed alone?
Is it easier to forget than to believe?
The cold shoulder, once again
Gives me frost bite, head to toe.
Shivering alone, watching you.
You are so vain.
You are so sweet.
Bring the sun and warm my heart.
Thaw the feelings lurking
Behind your eyes and set me free
From this frozen death.
