Night's Gaze
The beauty of the twinkle in your eye
is like a candle guiding me through all
the darkness of my heart to go I try
but star upon each star help not, I fall
Should I forsake the object of my eye?
would be a falsity of hopfulness
for hope, like stars promise more in a sigh
I wish that love be like that sky, no less.
when day becomes the night I smile, I see
that sagittarius does pluck his bow
like cupid. I am slain I am set free
my heart opens, bleeds out ne'er to cease flow.
acceptance of this weight I fly up to
the clouds of her embrace I wink adieu
