He'll Find You
someday he'll find you, baby girl
and you'll blush
and you'll shush
and you'll rush
into his arms
screamin' DADDY'S HOME!
Rome wasn't burned in a day
stay alert
feels good now
but it's gonna hurt like hell
it's a long fall down the wishing well and the smells will
turn you off wishing
for approximately
Warily Ever After
and the laughter is evil and it echoes throughout your Wall of Shame
and you are the game and your heart is the one to be pierced
fierce flow of blood carries you downstream
warily warily
through one hell of a dream that would make Freud go hmmmm
but who was Freud?
a fallible man with a beard whose theories don't help much when you're
paranoid and running blind
with home behind you and hell before
you tried heaven already
but Mary locked the door
primrose promises bleed into puerile pretense
and you scale the fence
because you are dog tired
of counting
sheep
do not weep for the dead
weep for the bread crumb trail that could have led you home
sweet home
but the birds were famished
and so
you roam
