Our word
All the best clichés
are tucked into their neat
little worlds and I rejoice
in the closure of that
for nothing about us
is cliché - not even
the horridly breezy
love songs of the seventies
which still find themselves
unable to grasp us
What are we, you ask
Devotions
I say, not nearly as divine
as we'd like to be
but then we're wiser than that
even so, what we are
is overtly devoted to one another
and so I revel
in the fact that there
is no end in sight
