A Small Memory Lapse

I saw you again just now
For the first time
All over again

And for just a heartbeat I forgot that you love me
And that I belong to you  

And in that forgetting,
Fell in love all over again
When you laughed at my silly smile
Silly reluctance to touch you...

But i am remembering now...
The small beauty mark on your hip
The one that has never seen the summer kiss of sun.
Because you think it is too big
But I think it is too small for my lips to cover the right way

And I remember the first night.
When you said yes "I really love you"
"Do you Love Me Fully"
And I answered with my whole body and soul.
Reducing you to small gasps of pleasure. Almost words, but blanketed in moans and sighs.
But I understook completely
And answered in kind.

And afterward, I remember this the best.
With your blonde hair spread under your head as a halo of erotic highlight,
And my body over yours
hands intertwined in the soft silky curls.

Only then did I whisper...
'This is forever, love. We have made a bond no power under or over the earth can break'

I may have forgotten a lot of small things love,
But I will never forget that.
