SCENE 44-INT.-Nursing home. Night.
Papaw is sitting on the sofa in the lobby.
A large nurse is sitting in the chair across
from him. She's holding a purple Teletubby doll.
Becca and Derek enter the lobby through the front door.
Derek: Hey, Papaw. What's wrong?
Nurse: He tried to hitch a ride to Galveston this morning.
A trucker brought him back.
Papaw: These idiots are driving me up the wall. She won't
stop following me around. Tried to give me this demonic toy.
Nurse: I thought it would be therapeutic for him, but he
keeps throwing it across the room.
Derek: Can't say I blame him.
Becca: So, Papaw...do you wanna blow this joint or what?
Papaw: My life is getting more interesting by the second.
