Night after Night

why didn’t you listen to that voice inside
instead of crying you could have pushed it aside
now your stuck night after night
trying to think of ways to make it all right
but you know what you had to do
it’ll be coming back to haunt you
so you give the evil eye
when all you want to do is cry
you don’t show any of the torment
of anything that happened in that moment
you wake up with tear stains
tears you can’t explain
when will all this turn
when will you learn
to listen to that  voice inside you
I guarantee it will guide you
you couldn’t tell me right away
instead I had to hear your friend say
all the problems you were delt
I know exactly how you felt
I going to be with you through your troubles
Pop them all like little bubbles
then you’ll think night after night
every thing that’s going right
waking up in the same place 
with the same smile on your face.
