The Quest

My lonely heart has dreamt of you
Over the long and endless years
It’s pictured your loving, rugged face
And cried big lonely tears

My hungry mind has searched for you
Conversations run through my head
It never wearies of talking with you
My curiosity is constantly fed

My adventurous spirit has waited for you
It laughs with pure delight
What daring deeds will be explored
As we play throughout the night

My romantic nature has longed for you
To gaze into each others eyes
And snuggle up in front of the fire
When rain fills the cold, night skies

My responsive body has yearned for you
Your touch so gentle and warm
Caressing my innermost being
My youth has been reborn

My restless soul has prayed for you
To make my life complete
It aches to intertwine with yours
Nothing else could be so sweet
