Lifelong Struggle

How long until I can find
A girl that would love to be mine
My heart is heavy, as if it were lead
Sometimes I feel I’d be better off dead
Why must they always toy with my emotions?
It’s like I’m just tossed about like a ship on the ocean
Am I destined to spend my life single?
I can never get the courage to go out and mingle
These questions are the objects of my thoughts
The scars of the battles I have fought
The wounds run deep, will they ever heal?
Not until I can meet a girl who can make me feel
That my love and devotion are something real
Until then I’ll wait alone, can you hear my cries?
Hoping that a beautiful girl steps forward to claim her prize.
