SCENE 71-INT.-Becca/Derek/Karis's apartment. Night.
Karis and Derek are sitting on the couch eating spaghetti
and watching "Welcome Back Kotter."
Derek: Thanks for makin' this, dude. This is so good. All my mom
ever made me was Spaghetti-Os.
Karis: Bless your heart. Well, I love to cook. It's the one thing I
have control over.
Derek: I wonder if John Travolta's mom made him spaghetti like this.
Karis: Oh, I'm sure it was better. She's Italian, after all.
Derek: What are you?
Karis: Eurotrash. Scottish and Swiss with enough Sioux thrown in
to make me interesting.
Derek: Really? I'm a quarter Comanche.
Karis: So that explains your intensity.
Derek: Well, according to Becca, I can chalk my intensity
up to my Scorpio sun sign.
Karis: I wonder where she is right now. They should be in Vegas
by now, shouldn't they?
Derek: With Becca behind the wheel, they'll be lucky if they
don't wind up in Boston.
