Remember the lies you told me?
The sweet love you’s and good nights
All that I beleived in
My dreams when I turned out the lights
So sick in the heart
Numb in the soul
My emotion distorted
Raging out of control
Breakdown of this love
This lies that I beleived
Turning my back and closing my heart
So I’ll never again be deceived
An Iron heart cannot break
And dark eyes hide the soul
You can’t burn me with your light
When the night is black as coal
The rain will wash my tears
And keep me from harms way
As it serves as a constant reminder
Of the pain of yesterday
Free from complications
And the attachments of foolish hearts
I know now better to end it
Even before it starts
Losing myself in anything
Nothing to hold me to
Cry myself just by myself
But it’s my sorrow to go through
I don’t have to take the hurt
The aches that others give
What I have and do will be mine
As long as I continue to live
