April 4, 2000 finds me drunk on cheap South Eastern Australia chardonnay
making me foolish and flirtatious
if he called me right now
I'd cry on his shoulder
but he won't call
so I'll cry alone
for a few wasted minutes
and then I'll wash away the tears and makeup
and crawl into my messy bed
do i ask for too much?
dreamy music on the stereo
and an aquarium filled with colorful anonymous little fish
and a voice on the phone
from a thousand miles away?
