She came to you in your dreams
Like a siren in the night
I could feel it when she screamed
Your love for her was right
She cried so much when you disappeared
More hurt that you’ll ever know
She only came to you in love songs
She still loved, but let you go
You finally called to let her know
You had been sick and far away
They thought you might be dying
You had no choice but stay
You cry in pain of knowing
For her there is someone new
She tried to tell the other
But you see she’s in love with him too
You are back saying, send her to me
She’s just not sure yet what she’ll do
Guess she’ll just stay here and write love poems
Till she can figure out what’s true
