A Dream
I was serenaded by angels,
"Welcome to paradise!" they did sing.
"You have fallen in love, my child,
and know not yet of the joy it brings."
"Your smile is brighter,
and your laughter is heard,
happiness seen,
although you speak not a word."
"It's in your eyes my friend,
through the spark, and glimpse of hope,
they do shine.
Two lovers together,
full of emotion,
innertwined."
"My child you have dreamed of love,
since the age of eight or nine,
and now that you are older,
this wish come true is so divine."
"There will be moments of pain,
where you are tempted to let go,
but we promise if you just hold on,
stronger your love will grow."
I was serenaded by angels.
"Welcome to paradise!",
they did sing,
and I awoke in your arms...
and fulfilled were all my dreams!
