Did you know that I love to -
Eat peanut butter straight from the jar
(extra crunchy, not smooth)
read short stories
hear rain beating down on a tin roof
collect old glass insulators
bury my toes in hot sand on the beach
devour boiled peanuts in autumn
go to the movies alone
memorize the classifieds
wear my grandfather's ring because I miss him
watch crocus and daffodils come alive in spring
dream of growing old in a shanty by the sea
smell chlorine on my skin from pool water
listen to the blues
brew coffee just for the aroma
fantasize about you?
I didn't think so
