The Rain Falls Down

Gently, the rain falls down
Washing the dust from my bedroom window
And I burrow a little deeper
and pull the covers tighter
and wish a little harder
that you were in my arms tonight

And, Oh if you were
What wonders i would work
With fingers pressed to skin
Lips pressed to yours
Soul pressed to you
With heart in hand.

Gently my inhibitions would come down
As I slowly took you as my lover
For the very first time
And moved with you
In a dance of the ages
Under the warm quilt
As the rain falls down
Washing the dust from my heart.
