Sleeper
Sleeper
In tones of starlight and silver
of shadow violet and midnight grey
My lover sleeps
all unknowing beneath an adoring moon.
With silent sighs and trembling hands
I trace her silvered subtle lines
our love strewn sheets are hiding.
To violate the sacred cadence of her breath
with any sound or movement
would be to break the self made spell..
And I cannot. My god, I cannot.
And so i sit enshrouded
in the deep and worshiping darkness
surveying the perfect landscape of her
rising breasts, her perfect form
her innocent dreams...
While she unknowing
passes peacefully through fields
of wonder woven round her
I , mute and filled with soundless joy
Pass the star painted hours
wrapped and rapt and humbled
at the perfect beauty
of her sleeping face.
