Van Gogh I've loved forever
Clapton's god plays through and through
Then one afternoon close to Christmas
There you came, out of the blue
Your words like Van Gogh stars
Spinning round in my minds eye
Your arms like a Clapton tune
To wrap me tightly when I cry
The gods kissed life in all three of you
That same very special day
But they wrote my name upon your soul
