Beauty Shines

Taking your face into my hands
I gaze deeply.
Eyes, nose, forehead
Arching eyebrow, high cheekbone
Curve of your cheek, tiny little chin
Small little laugh lines at the corner of each lip
Memorizing the map of my heart
Made real in your visage.

And closing my eyes, I lean in
Softly nibbling your lower lip
Tongue slowly tracing the outline
Of each bite
As I seek to memorize your taste
Embed it in my mind
Immortalize the taste forever and beyond.
Then the upper...
In exact measure.

And you may deny all you want to
Cringe slightly when you hear the words
Laugh it off to your heart's desire
Beg me to stop (which I will never do)
As I call you beautiful.
The most beautiful woman
This guy has ever seen
Held, touched, tasted.
Beauty as beauty is meant to be
Where it starts in your heart
And then shines on your face
Lighting this guy's path.
