Black Syrup Ocean

Swim my way
I'll dance in the shafts of light
that penetrate our black ocean.
Bubbles from your mouth
cascade upwards in solid streams
like an inverted waterfall.
Disapearing into the great beyond,
like our once glowing dreams.

Drew a heart in the sandy seafloor
with our initials inside.
But grain by grain,
the sand crept back into the lines
and soon there was nothing again.
I'm drowning too.
But I call it research.
