I can do this
The greatest compliment
I can give you is my love.
I may struggle with my faith
and lose my way, even waver
from time to time.
I may attempt to explain
as I claim you to be mine,
I have burdened you with words,
I know I can be trying,
But I may never get it right,
poems, prose, love in type.
I may never be certain
of my next direction and
I may never know it all
after your love's greatest fall,
but the one thing I can do
is always love you.
