Heartstorm Raging

A force of nature has enveloped my being
Though not unexpected
The ferocity has made me numb
To the pain
And blind to the white

How I got here is no matter
Why I chose matters even less
Right now
For the survival of hearts is foremost
Mine, hers

Heartstorm raging
With crimson cuts
Leaving wounds behind
That time may suture
But the white scar tissue is permanent
I know
God I know.
