I Wanna Feel Love (Where It Counts)

God, do I want to feel love right where it counts
I want to fall into a love song
And drown there
Shout every word with my soul
Become the music
And flow
On notes of pure pitch

I want to fly
To Olympus
Soar thru the sacred mist
Dare the sun to melt my wings
Mounted with pure golden love
Unlike the weak creation of Icarus

And I want to taste a kiss
So bad, it hurts
Makes me dizzy just to imagine the flavor
Dripping honey and peach
That I would savor
And return to again and again
As a hummingbird to nectar

And I want to touch silken skin
Feel the electricity jump
From my first heated stroke
And grow
With every touch, caress
Until I am consumed in the white
Purified by love itself.

I want to feel love where it counts
In the heart
In the soul
In this glorious creation of God
Called me
