Legend of the Moonflower

In my garden
There is an interlude
Between dusk and dawn
Which plays softly
On the petals of a vine
Making her tenderly stir
Stretching her arms to the sky
She then slowly begins
Putting on her creamy lace gown
The color of the moon
She smiles as she does so
Thinking of him
And her sweet perfume fills the air
She sits in front of the evening star
Telling him of her lover
He's coming soon
I must prepare
She lets the dew drops kiss her glowing skin
The young stars dance in her eyes
And just as she sees her beautiful reflection
In the moonbeam he suddenly appears
Her strength
Her passion
Her night
Taking his moonflower in his arms
Taking her breath away
Sweeping her off to dance
And make love till night slips away
