Alone,

I light a cigarette,
Look out of the window,
Into empty, meaningful darkness.
I see you,
I see me,
Swimming,
In an ocean of longing,
In rivers of passion,
In gardens of light,
Blooming with imagination.

I feel your breath of words,
Dancing before my eyes.
I look out of the window,
I see you,

Kissing,
Lips on fire,
I look into your eyes,
See your smile,
And beg the world,
To stop
Turning.
