Christine

             Christine

When I met you for the first time
I realized we were sister's of a certain kind,

Your gleaming blue eyes pierced my soul
Of your story that needed to be told,

Exchanging bitersweet tales of lost love
Abuse and your precious kidnapped doves,

   A revelation of some sort
    Presented itself at my door,

    No egos at play
     Just pure feelings shared,

To release the bottled up pain
And remain one in the same,

But with a strong and faithful mind
You will heal the bittersweet tide,

That creeps slowly up inside, only to reside
In your broken heart that you cannot hide,

Oh my darling, I long to hold you in my arms
And soothe the pain that envelopes your heart,

Yet I dare not extinguish the flame of forgiveness
For fear you may return to a bitter old self
And blame the world for your eternal pain.

But I ask only that you search out God
To strengthen your heart from day to day
And pray for his merciful love,

So you and I may share another day
Filled with the power of his healing rays!
