`` Dare I Climb ``
Dare I climb the obstacle of my soul
So obtruse, an unmovable mound
No way around, nor under, but only over
The cliff so high , a fearful precupice
Yet it blocks my way and all I desire
Its frightening way towers over me
So high, its shadow blocks the light
The mass obstructs my straining efforts
Going forward to my destiny
Shall I climb and risk disaster
Slipping and falling to the depths
Crashing down loosing all that is mine
Motionless in fear
Doing nothing, venturing nowhere
To allow that stone monster to prevail
And I shall die never moving onward
To my goals and my cravings
A shale rock being my jailer
Mustering my inner courage and strength
I have chosen to hack and claw and climb
The mountain of my soul
The rainbow of reward awaits me
Beyond the hill of restraint
Where the call beckons me to go
