Dream Come True

There has always been something present
Whenever we are together,
But I didn't know if you felt it, too,
Until last night.
I always brushed you off
Because I didn't know if you were acting;
Playing a role like you so often do.
I'm beginning to see through the facade,
You're allowing me to penetrate the external you.
When you started speaking of loneliness,
My heart was drawn to you.
Your touch is so gentle,
Yet full of passion.
A fire has been ignited.
Now we must keep it kindled.
I'm afraid of being hurt again,
But I'll never move forward if I 
Don't take steps away from my past.
I tried to forget my dream;
To pass it off as my mind's idle wandering,
But I couldn't forget it.
It wouldn't quit replaying in my daydreams.
And now I'm beginning to think
That my prayers have been answered,
And my dream has come true.
