I Have Faith
As each day passes, I pray it brings me closer to finding you.
Though I have no idea who or where you are.
I only know I have faith you are out there and we will be together soon.
Some days are so lonely, I can hardly hold my head up.
The nights drag on forever, and only make the emptiness more dark and forlorn.
Sleep finally carries me away to dreams of us and the love that awaits us.
My arms ache to hold you, to trace my fingers across your face.
But I have no idea what that face will look like.
My ears long to hear you voice, its tone and rhythm unknown to me.
You are searching also, trying to find me among the crowds.
Somehow our paths haven’t crossed yet, or have they and we don’t know it.
Someday we’ll find each other and our hearts will sing with joy.
