Scene 54
INT.-Freesia and Vanilla's apartment-Night
Freesia, Vanilla, Aries and Shelli are sitting at the table in the
dining room eating chocolate chip pancakes and drinking milk out of
martini glasses.
Freesia: When we've finished eating and the table has been cleared
I want to show you my portfolio. Simon Lancaster is my photographer.
His most famous client is Makaela Goldberg.
Aries: Never heard of her.
Vanilla: You're kidding, right? Please tell me you're kidding.
Aries: Actually, I'm serious.
Shelli: Solve the mystery for us. Don't leave us hangin'. Is this
chick, like, the modern day equivalent of Elizabeth Taylor?
Vanilla: Don't you have TV in Texas?
Shelli: No. The government doesn't think it's a good idea. People are
so easily influenced by TV. The powers that be think the last thing we
need is millions of illiterate beer guzzlin' hicks who think their state
is the center of the world tuning in to CNN and MTV.
Freesia: Are you serious? That is so weird.
Vanilla: I didn't know the government controlled televison. That's
scary. Since when are we the Soviet Union?
Aries: Don't piss your pants, man. We're bullshittin' ya. We've got
TV in Texas. We just never watch it.
Shelli: Yeah, we're too busy ropin' cows and dancin' on bars.
Vanilla: Sounds like fun.
Freesia: Yeah. "Green Acres" meets "Smokey and the Bandit."
