All I Can Say
You're my best friend
You know it's true
We've been through alot,
me and you
We've travled the country,
experienced new things;
We've held on to that love
our friendship brings
You came to me
for the answers to your questions;
and with that answer
always came suggestions
I found in you
a special friend
who was there for me
to protect and defend
We were inseparable,
unstopable too;
When we got together
there was nothing we wouldn't do
But something went wrong
I dont know where,
I began to look around
and you weren't there
It seemed as though
you found a new friend,
and with that realization,
our friendship came to an end
The notes to eachother stopped,
and the phonecalls too,
and to keep me from crying,
there was only one thing to do
I shut you out,
pretending to hate you,
but I was just so hurt
there was nothing else for me to do
I regret it every minute,
every second, every day,
now that you've packed up
and moved away
I've lost my best friend,
the one who truely cares
I wish we could do it over,
I would always be there
I apologize for the pain
and the sorrow I've caused,
please don't cry,
our friendship is not lost
We can still save it,
pull it through
because there is a strong love
between me and you
I'll write to you every week
and think of you each day
because I love you so much
That's all I can say!
