Future Before Us

I'm afriad that I will hurt
For there has been pain, in the past
But, I'm not too afraid to try
I think we're meant to last

I find that you are always on my mind
Like a movie made of your sweet glances
And, I'm not afraid to fly, nor afraid to fall
I'm always up for taking chances

I know that you are deep, so deep
I cannot even fathom the depths inside of you
I can only guess at the things you've held in
But, I believe that you are true

I have tried so long to forget
These feelings that I have inside
That breath and burn, bleed and ache
These things I strive to hide

And, yes, God, you are intense
With a Scorpio's hot gaze
With one look you capture me
And never cease to amaze

I can guess at what you're capable of
I've seen glimmers, beyond what you have shown
Your thoughts do not scare me
For these truths, I have always known

I'll gladly hold on to you
For I know you'll never let me fall
I'd love to fly with you, anywhere
But, in your eyes, I've seen it all

And, yes, I have been told, too
That, for my own sake, I should walk away
That I'd be better off, without you in my life
But, I don't believe what they say

You have been with me, always

Even when absent from my life

The missed time matteres not
