Life is Goo

A truck sign reads
'Life is Goo'  the 'd' worn off
I sighed 'life is goo'
We both goggled like kids

Past grieving  one doesn't forget
Life is messy  disorganized
chaotic     joyful
dog's slobber on shoes
a sink of dirty dishes
        unfinished business
baby's messes   children romping

the horror of war
dying that lingers too long
algae clinging to the edge of a pond
primal soup becoming us

Why do I love you
because life is goo
