they are many
they are a multitude
internal...not external
but that does not negate their power
maybe the trick is in naming them
one by one
staring them down
learning not to flinch
and cower
I would wish them away
I would wash them away
I would scrub them away
if I could
in the shower
keep loving me
and the good will seep in
the clarity will cast out the shadows
and the sweetness will replace
the sour
