Longing

I miss you,
I feel like I have lost a piece of myself.
Lost my joy,
Lost my life,
Lost my best friend.
I cannot escape thoughts of you,
Even in my sleep you are there,
Haunting my dreams.
I dream of times,
when I ran my finger tips,
Across you skin,
Kissed your lips.
I was allowed to love you,
Give you my soul,
But now I feel trapped.
My heart,
gagged,
and held at gunpoint.
If it speaks,
I shall die.
It is my enemy.
What once I followed,
Now I strive to ignore.
Because my heart has no reason,
When it comes to you.
You have the power to drive me wild,
Confuse me beyond belief.
Turn my world into upheaval.
Now my world feels tossed aside,
Used and left for me to reconstruct.
Only you hold the master plan,
Only you,
The answer lies in your eyes,
In your smile,
In your voice,
In your breath,
In you my heart shall stop weeping.
Anything else,
Does not even come close.
